Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas to close DIFF

Nick Jonas and Paul Rudd have both confirmed they will attend the closing night of the Dublin International Film Festival in Ireland.

The Two Hollywood superstars will attend the closing night at DIFF where they will be promoting their new movie, ‘Power Ballad’.

In a nut shell, The The film follows Rick (Rudd), a past-his-prime wedding singer, who crosses paths with Danny (Jonas), a fading boyband star, during a gig. “Bonding over music and a late-night jam session, the two strike up an unlikely friendship,”

“However, when Rick and Danny return to their respective worlds, they discover that this chance encounter will upend both their lives in very different ways.”

Directed by Irish filmmaker John Carney, and shot in Ireland, Carney said of the news.

‘I’m delighted to have our film, Power Ballad, close this year’s festival.

‘It’s apt to go out, after so many great films, with a bang of music and fun. Who wouldn’t want to watch Paul Rudd throw Nick Jonas off a balcony? (Seriously, that happens in our movie.)’

Rudd was spottled in Dublin while shooting the movie back in 2024, The I Love You Man actor was pictured outside the Tourism Information Centre on Palace Street, beside Dublin Castle.

DIFF members will be able to purchase tickets on Jan 21st, with general release is on January 23rd .

The festival takes place February 19th to March 1st 2026.
