The nominations for The 2026 Academy Awards have been announced, and Hamnet has scored whopping eight nominations.

Jessie Buckley has been nominated for Best Actress, this is the Irish actresses first time being nominated for an Oscar, and her family have reportedly not stopped celebrating.

Speaking to RTE of his pride for Jessie, Broadcaster, Brendan Fuller described Jessies Oscar nomination as a “great joy to the town”.

Hamnet, Sinners, Marty Supreme and One Battle After Another are the big ones taking over in the race.

The Awards will take place on March 15th at The Dolby Theatre, Hollywood.
