About the RTÉ Choice Music Prize
Now in its 21st year, the RTÉ Choice Music Prize continues to celebrate excellence in Irish recorded music. Since its launch in 2005, the Prize has become a major highlight in the Irish music calendar.
The Irish Album of the Year is selected from a shortlist of ten albums by a panel of eleven Irish music media professionals and industry experts. The full list of judges is available at www.choicemusicprize.ie.
The winning artist will receive a €10,000 prize, generously provided by IMRO and IRMA, with all shortlisted acts receiving a specially commissioned award.
Official project partners for the RTÉ Choice Music Prize include RAAP, Culture Ireland, FMC, Minding Creative Minds, Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet, and Coimisiún na Meán.
