leading Arctic Monkeys tribute act Favourite Worst Nightmare will celebrate the landmark anniversary with a headline show at The Academy, Dublin on Friday, 22nd May 2026.
Twenty years on from the release of Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not — one of the most influential indie albums of the 2000s —
The band will perform the debut album in full, alongside a selection of fan-favorites Arctic Monkeys tracks spanning the band’s career, marking two decades since the Sheffield quartet reshaped modern British indie rock.

The show forms part of a wider celebration of the album’s legacy, which launched Arctic Monkeys to international acclaim and helped define a generation of guitar music. With a reputation for capturing the energy and urgency of the originals, Favourite Worst Nightmare have become one of the most respected Arctic Monkeys tribute acts on the live circuit.
Favourite Worst Nightmare will be joined by special guests on the night.
Doors open at 7pm and the event is 18’s+.
