GoLoud Podcast Hits 1M Listens

Go Loud just hit a major milestone: its true-crime podcast Lines of Enquiry has officially passed 1 million listens.

Hosted by former Garda detective John Sweetman, the show breaks down some of Ireland’s biggest cases — going past the headlines to unpack the evidence, key decisions, and how investigations actually play out. Sweetman, who spent over 25 years as a crime scene investigator, brings serious forensic know-how to every episode.

Since launching in late 2025, the podcast has blown up, regularly topping charts on Spotify and Apple, earning thousands of 5-star reviews, and even landing a spot on Spotify’s Best True Crime Podcasts list for the UK & Ireland. Now in season two, it has already covered more than a dozen cases that shook communities across the country.

Sweetman says the response has been “overwhelming,” crediting listeners and the Go Loud and Bauer Media team for the success.

Creator Darren Cleary said, “the milestone shows Irish audiences are fully here for smart, well-told long-form storytelling — especially when it’s done with care instead of hype.”

New episodes of ‘Lines of Enquiry’ are released every Tuesday on the Go Loud player, Go Loud app or wherever you get your podcasts.
