Last night, Lucy Kennedy officially launched her brand new book The Mini Breakers at The Bestsellers Café — and honestly, the vibes were immaculate.
The launch was packed with familiar faces from Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio, and Radio Nova, along with Lucy’s close friends, family, and her manager of 20 years, the fabulous Joanne Byrne. Colleagues from Presence PR, were also there to celebrate the exciting new release.
While many readers will remember Lucy’s previous children’s books ‘The Friendship Fairies’, this latest release is something completely different. Funny, girly, chaotic in the best way, and unbelievably relatable. ‘The Mini Breakers‘ dives head-first into relationships, careers, friendships, and all the “women’s issues” we pretend we have figured out. Expect scandals, sexy shenanigans, shocking revelations, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments along the way.

Loosely based on Lucy and her friends, the characters feel real, messy, hilarious, and familiar, you’ll definitely find a little bit of yourself in at least one of them.
Of course, I had to ask the important question: if The Mini Breakers was turned into a film, who would Lucy want to play her? Her answer was immediate, the one and only Davina McCall. And honestly? We can definitely see it.
Fresh, fun, exciting, and packed with personality, The Mini Breakers feels like the perfect girls’ night read and it’s guaranteed to have readers hooked from the first page.
