Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser and Kerry Condon Lead Intense New WWII Drama Pressure
A brand-new trailer has landed for Pressure, and if you’re a fan of gripping historical dramas, this one needs to be on your watchlist.
The upcoming World War II thriller stars Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser and Kerry Condon, and tells the incredible true story of the tense 72 hours leading up to D-Day , where one weather forecast could change the course of history.
In Pressure, Andrew Scott plays Britain’s chief meteorological officer James Stagg, who finds himself under enormous pressure (literally) as he delivers the most important forecast of the war. With the largest seaborne invasion in history hanging in the balance, every decision matters.
Brendan Fraser takes on the role of Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower, while Kerry Condon stars as Captain Kay Summersby, one of the few people Stagg can trust as the clock ticks down.
The film also features Damian Lewis as Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery and Chris Messina as wartime meteorologist Irving P. Krick.
Directed by Anthony Maras and based on the acclaimed stage play by David Haig, Pressure promises high-stakes drama, difficult decisions and a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at one of the most pivotal moments of World War II.
The newly released trailer gives a first glimpse at the tension, pressure and impossible choices facing Allied leaders as they race against time and the unpredictable British weather.
Pressure arrives in Irish cinemas on 9 September 2026.
