Razorlight have announced a Dublin date at 3Olympia Theatre this December as part of a special tour celebrating 20 years of their iconic self-titled album.

Razorlight are heading back to Dublin this winter as part of a special UK and Ireland tour celebrating 20 years of their iconic self-titled second album.

The British indie rock favourites will take to the stage at 3Olympia Theatre on Monday, December 14th, with tickets going on sale this Friday, June 19th at 9am. A MyMCD presale will take place the day before, on Thursday, June 18th.

Originally released in 2006, Razorlight became a defining album of the indie-rock era, going five-times platinum and producing some of the band’s biggest hits, including In The Morning, Before I Fall To Pieces and I Can’t Stop This Feeling I’ve Got. The record also topped the UK Albums Chart and helped propel frontman Johnny Borrell and the band into mainstream success.

For the anniversary tour, Razorlight’s classic four-piece lineup will reunite to perform the album in full, alongside fan-favourite deep cuts that helped make the record a standout release of the 2000s.

Reflecting on the album, Borrell described the writing process as an “amazing musical connection” between himself and drummer Andy Burrows, adding that the songs eventually started to feel like a greatest hits collection before the album had even been released.

The Dublin date will mark the final stop on the band’s UK and Ireland run, following shows across Glasgow, Manchester, London, Belfast and more. Support on the tour comes from rising London sibling duo The Molotovs, who have been making waves with their energetic live performances and recent chart success.

Two decades on from its release, Razorlight continues to resonate with fans old and new. The band now boasts more than 1.6 million monthly Spotify listeners and remains one of the defining acts of the 2000s indie-rock boom.
